On September 25, the VI International Music Festival of Ildar Abdrazakov will open in St. Petersburg

The concert will be attended by world opera stars - Russian bass, twice Grammy Award winner Ildar Abdrazakov, star of the Vienna Opera, Metropolitan Opera and La Scala, Mexican tenor Ramon Vargas, opera soloist and the Mariinsky Orchestra. The conductor is Valery Gergiev.

The evening program includes arias and duets from operas by Russian and foreign composers.

The VI International Music Festival of Ildar Abdrazakov is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian bass Feodor Chaliapin. Concerts of the Festival will also be held in Murmansk, Petrozavodsk, Arkhangelsk, Samara and in the homeland of Feodor Chalapin - in Kazan. On the eve of the gala concert at the Mariinsky - 2, the Elena Obraztsova International Academy of Music in St. Petersburg will host open master classes by Ildar Abdrazakov and opera stars for young talented vocalists from around the world.
