Ildar Abdrazakov at the Salzburg Festival

From August 13 to 22, Ildar Abdrazakov will perform in four concert programs of the Salzburg Festival, three of them under the baton of maestro Riccardo Muti.

On August 13, 15, and 16, Beethoven's Missa Solemnis is in the program of the Great Festival Hall. Rosa Feola (soprano), Alisa Kolosova (mezzo-soprano), Dmitry Korchak (tenor), and Ildar Abdrazakov (bass) are to sing vocal parts. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra performs under Riccardo Muti.

On August 22, a concert performance of the dramatic legend "La damnation de Faust" by Berlioz is planned with Ildar Abdrazakov as Mephistopheles and Elina Garancha as Margarita. Also starring: Charles Castronovo (Faust) and Peter Kellner (Brander). Alain Altinoglu will conduct this evening.

ldar Abdrazakov made his debut at the Salzburg Festival in 2009, performing the role of Moses in Rossini's "Moïse et Pharaon" under the baton of Riccardo Muti. Since then, the singer regularly appears in this great musical festival, performing at the Summer and Easter festivals. In 2018, Rossini's production of Italians in Algeria, where Ildar Abdrazakov (Mustafa) sang together with Cecilia Bartoli (Isabella), became a high-profile event. This performance is broadcasted in cinemas this summer, as part of the project celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Festival.
